ShooWin, Inc., the only online sports ticketing marketplace that allows fans to buy and sell reservations for all postseason tickets at face value, today announced the release of the first weekly industry data on fan demand for postseason games.
ShooWin’s real-time data is derived from its patented reservation platform, which measures fan demand, by team, for each of the pro and college postseason games it offers on its site. ShooWin’s proprietary platform measures postseason demand throughout the calendar year for every NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and Division 1 college teams.
Each week ShooWin will release data on specific games called the Real Fans Poll. This Real Fans Poll offers fans a weekly forecast of the top three picks across postseason games. The ShooWin data is paired against well-known sports writers or analysts’ predictions for the same postseason games. Taking the process further, ShooWin’s team of data analysts provide insight into the predictions to provide the industry with a new data point.
“ShooWin collects data from fans on almost every postseason game as far as 11 months before the actual game occurs. With almost 300,000 team reservations available, we have an exclusive view into demand by team for each postseason game long before the primary or secondary market releases tickets to the same events,” says David Lane, CEO of ShooWin. “The exclusive data is even more important to our partner rights holders and ticket providers who now have insight into demand and pricing all year long, which can help them maximize revenue and manage inventory risk.”
ShooWin’s Real Fan Poll data is being used to dynamically price team reservations and provide real-time analysis for its fans who buy and then sell their reservations in its marketplace all year long. The Real Fans Poll continues to strengthen ShooWin’s intellectual property portfolio and position the company as an emerging leader in the online ticketing space.
